AI Korean is the Telegram companion @AI_korean_bot. This page is the public account of that notebook. The diary is fictional.

What we keep

Only what the companion needs to talk tomorrow as if it knew you today. We do not put your words in the logs.

  • What you told us about you

    Your name, Korean level, the life you picked, and any later answers such as times and time zone.

  • Your email, if you gave one

    The address you typed on the site or in chat, so we can send a daily note. /delete removes it with the rest.

  • The companion you met

    The persona invented at setup. It is not remade when you add more about yourself.

  • The chat

    Turns in both directions, so tomorrow's reply can remember today's sentence.

  • The notebook

    Each card you were shown, the concept it taught, and the sentence of yours that earned it. A notebook without your sentence is not a record of anyone's progress.

  • What the companion thinks it likes

    Views and diary threads that make it sound like the same person next week. Those stories are invented. See below.

What we do not keep

  • The picture itself

    A homework photo is read, then discarded. We do not write the bytes to a bucket of our own.

  • Your words in our logs

    CloudWatch holds counts and status codes. Never the sentence you sent, never the photo, never your Telegram chat id in the clear.

  • Other people's chats

    Your notebook is yours. A reply is never built from someone else's messages.

Photos

What stays is what was read: the marks, the card, and your sentence. Telegram still holds the message in the chat. Deleting that message on your phone revokes our pointer to the file. Saying we keep nothing would be a lie, because Telegram keeps its copy whether we do or not.

The first photo you send gets one English line before the answer, so consent sits on the moment it applies.

The companion is fictional

The name, the city, the week, the coffee, the opinions: invented, so practice has someone to talk to. You are told that when you meet. This page is the place you can read it again. It is not a real person, and it is not a girlfriend.

How long

  • Until you delete

    What you were taught does not expire. A paid break does not wipe the notebook. /delete does. There is no archive to restore you from after that.

  • A short queue after delete

    A message already on its way can sit in our inbound queue for up to four days, or fourteen if every delivery failed. After you delete, that text cannot write to your notebook and cannot send as the companion. It is leftover in transit, not a second copy of you.

  • Backups

    The tables have a thirty-five day restore window. A restore is a deliberate operator act, and every deletion since that point is replayed before anything is put back in service, so a deleted notebook does not return by accident.

Your controls

  • /review

    Look at the notebook. Your sentence above what was taught.

  • /pause

    Stop the morning texts. /resume brings them back. Replying still works.

  • /delete

    Wipe the friendship and the notebook. Telegram's bubbles on your phone stay until you clear the chat yourself.

Where it lives

  • A secured AWS database

    Your notebook is stored in a secured AWS enterprise database. Access, backups, and restore are controlled the way a production system is, not a weekend project.

  • Telegram's copy

    Telegram also holds its own copy of the chat, under Telegram's rules, not ours.
